I don't write off newer stuff though, but I better appreciate bands that have some elements of that timeframe in their music. I think my riff-writing also reflects those years, whether it be death metal, hardcore, or even punk. I don't really understand being into music for the social aspect only -- if a band doesn't grab you by the balls and demand some sort of attention or reaction from you, why would you even waste your time with it?[/QUOTE]
