___________________________________ [Apr 21,2011 8:47am - demondave ""] surprising. can't even do their last tour. I wonder if the decision to not do any more world tours was based on KK |
________________________________ [Apr 21,2011 9:19am - Spydre ""] That sucks. I've seen them a few times, but I still wanted to check out the Epitaph tour. It'll be weird to see some 31 year old guy in place of him. Maybe this is just a marketing scheme for the upcoming tour? |
_______________________________________ [Apr 21,2011 12:36pm - MetalMessiah ""] Priest without KK is not Priest. The tour is much less interesting now. |
______________________________ [Apr 21,2011 2:08pm - blue ""] Will still attend the tour, cus its fucking priest. Goodbye KK. |
__________________________________________ [Apr 21,2011 2:17pm - MillenialKingdom ""] If I was ever gonna see Priest, I would rather see them with this current classic lineup. No KK means no Priest. |
________________________________ [Apr 21,2011 2:57pm - zyklon ""] Man that sucks. Last time I saw 'em with Ripper Owens they sounded pretty good |
________________________________ [Apr 21,2011 3:05pm - Kevord ""] The classic lineup has been touring for at least 7-8 years now. So I don't feel bad for anyone who didn't get to see them. It will be cool to see Priest one last time even withought KK. |
____________________________________ [Apr 21,2011 3:09pm - porphyria ""] man, why couldn't he hang for ONE more tour? pussy! |
________________________________ [Apr 21,2011 3:47pm - zyklon ""] KK's statement: Dear friends, "It is with much regret that I will not be with you this summer. "Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your concerns about my health. Please rest assured that I am OK. "There has been an ongoing breakdown in working relationship between myself, elements of the band, and the band's management for some time. Therefore I have decided to step down rather than to tour with negative sentiments as I feel that this would be a deception to you, our cherished fans. However, I would urge you to please support the PRIEST as I have no doubt that it will be a show not to be missed. "All my love and respect." |

That Priest is NOT the classic line-up, kids Travis was brought in to replace Dave Holland because he could play double bass, and they needed to compete with the Big 4 who were dominating at the time--- especially after they lost ALL 'true' cred with the Turbo album. All of Priest's considerable contributions to the shaping of Metal were done before Travis. There's nothing new on Painkiller. Dissident Aggressor? Exciter? Sinner? The Ripper? Victim of Changes? Tyrant? Genocide? Stained Class? Saints in Hell? When that stuff came out it was totally without precedent. Sabbath was gone for all intents and purposes and no one else was doing that kind of stuff. With Painkiller they were imitating rather than innovating. Their era 'Classic' was over. -Les Binks |

On the other hand, without the 4 up front, this will be tough to take. I'll still probably have to go, just to see what garbage they pull out from Rocka Rolla and Ram It Down! Glad I got to see them with the 4 essential members for sure, sucks that KK couldn't suck it up for another year and retire with a little dignity. |
