Yea. I went last year. Food was extremely mediocre. We got the hell pasta, roulette meatballs, some jamaican dish, some seafood dish and the wings. The pasta truly is insanely spicy. Nothing cools it off. We were drinking pitchers of water each. It's cool to go to, but nothing really to write home about. We split the pasta (between 3 of us), I had 4 bites and it was enough for me. I LOVE spicy food, but the naga viper/ghost chilis they use are fucking hot. No one got the anecdote either when I was there. Hoping someone would just because of the fan fare. Oh and on a side note, not sure if they do this all of the time, but they had metal music (slayer, Metallica, priest, maiden, ozzy/sabbath, etc) when I was there. Have fun. And don't bother drinking beer during your dinner. There's no way it stays cold enough. I had one before switching to pitchers of water.

One of the evenings, someone just couldn't handle their spice and had a heart attack. There were pictures all over EBG's facebook of the ambulances.

Have been to the last 5 of them. Good times. The food is crazy HOT and (I personally think) very tasty. The music is largely metal and good. Never had the Pasta but my favorite remain the Wings of Ass Destruction (which I get every time). Another favorite is the spicy chocolate ice cream -- SO GOOD.

Also, keep in mind that if it is insanely hot going in, it will be insanely hot coming out. The next day is NOT pleasant.

Want to quell some of the heat, go for the milk or the tame cornbread -- only things that kind of work.

Here's the last Hell Night menu to help gauge what they may have this time around. Apparently half of the menu changes with the type of peppers they use.

Hmm...vegans might be a little SOL -- they might make something for you on the spot. One year, I didn't like something that had inner beauty sauce (hate mustard) and they made me something just as hot without it (actually, it was painfully hot, hotter than the original -- my first tangle with the naga jolokia).

The Crispy Pork salad was really good as was the pork chop.

I usually just wait for a seat at the bar (and will be doing that again this time around).

The owner of the East Coast Grill was on Toucher & Rich this morning. They apparently are using a chili in their Pasta From Hell called the Trinidadian Scorpion, which I guess is hotter than the ghost chili. The owner said they've had people go to the ER after eating it.

Some of you may have heard a rumor going around that the Pasta from Hell, once one of the hottest dishes around, will not be making an appearance this hell night. This rumor is unfortunately true. We apologize to all the fans of the Infamous Pasta but due to circumstances beyond our control it has been retired.
