Hi everyone, my name is Mark Fucking Richards, and I play the goddamn guitar. I listen to all sorts of heavy music, but we'll just say metal/hardcore et al., and I am finally ready to get back into playing in a full time band. I'm currently working on an old school meets slammy death metal project that is studio only at the moment, but I need something else to feed my musical hunger. So enough of this bullshit, here are my credentials or whatever the fuck you want to call them:
-Almost 8 years of experience, 21 years of age
-Formerly in Upon Crimson Wings, for anyone who knew who we were
-Reliable equipment (guitars, amp, wireless system and assorted gadgets)
-Dedicated to making music seriously but having fun at the same time
-Reliable transportation
-Live on the south shore of Massachusetts, sort of near Plymouth, but willing to travel certain distances
-Full time job, though part-time during the school year
-Openminded, musically and otherwise
-Influences include, but are far from limited to:
Black Sabbath, Slayer, At The Gates, Impaled, Aborted, Iron Maiden, Neuraxis, Commit Suicide, Cryptopsy, Blood for Blood, Bleeding Through, With Honor, Emperor, old In Flames, Hypocrisy, Rifles at Recess, Naglfar, Dying Fetus, Killswitch Engage, Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Boy Sets Fire, Hypnosia, Napalm Death, Neurosis, Suffocation, Malevolent Creation, Biohazard, Carcass, The Haunted, etc etc etc.
I'm not looking for any certain type of band at the moment; I'll be exploring all options and willing to try almost anything until I find a band suitable.

Dude, if your sorta near plymouth your not that far from the cape. You should consider my band Coffin Birth. We need a new guitarist cause allen went into the army. We are a black/death metalish band, im me if your interested or want a sample of our music. You probably wouldnt have to bring an amp to practice if you joined seen as how ive got my own you could use.

I live in Sandwich which is where we used to practice, I can send you some of little samples of our songs through aim or email. My sn is Psycoma129, look me up on there and ill send you some stuff. Also you could try downloading our video of us playing at EVOS from our site, www.coffin-birth.cjb.net. If you do download it disreguard the music at the begining that doesnt represent our style at all.

I thought there was a lot of talent in Upon Crimson Wings but the drummer held that band back BIG TIME. I'm not saying anything about his personality -- he's probably a super nice guy. He just wasn't cut out to play complex music of any sort.
I met one of the UCW dudes at that fest last year...can't remember the name of it but it was in Framingham or somethin'.
But yeah, so I don't doubt that you're actually a pretty good guitar player. I bet that if you got some good musicians to play with it would bring out your ability a lot more. If anyone checks out the old UCW releases I think you'll see what I mean.

thanks taste of cigarettes; i wish we could have played shows with the newer drummer(s) we had after seth, the drummer you're speaking of. we had a lot more crazy shit going on musically the last few months of our existence, but sadly nothing panned out to our advantage. shit happens i suppose. oh, and that was the 'bitter end fest' in framingham.

-I am the drummer, and we have a bassist
-you have to be able to work with chicks, because we both are.(you'd be surprised at the people that left the auditions because we failed to mention that)
-we used to have a guitarist, but he slowly faded away, we just haven't taken him off the site(if we even get the site working again)
-hey, I guess we're looking for a singer too,then, heh!
-we have a power/heavy metal sound as of now, but that changes constantly.

we have a rehersal space in haverhill mass. we have mp3's out on soundclick. orwww.shroud-of-bereavement.com
we are all spread out though. the singer and drummer live in RI
so depending on where you live there may be room for car pooling

Nah man you dont have to come down here yet cause there really isnt anything to check out, haha. Ive still gotta break in one of the drummers that are willing to play, either Mike from Leukorria or this other kid named steve. give me your email address and i can send you some mp3s of me playing the songs on guitar along with my drum program thing, and possibly the video of us playing in Lowel. If i were to give u an aproxiamtion of what we sound like right off the bat i would probably have to say a cross between bands like Dark Funeral and Hate eternal, not as repetetive as Dark funeral though
