Posted a new prog rock tune. Mix version 1, after I finish recording the second half I'm going to remix it. I fubared the compression on drums, solo, and a few other things.
This is my first tune with vocals (clean) in a veery long time. This is decidedly NOT metal.

Sounds good. I don't necessarily like the vocal style in conjunction with the music, however there are some good parts.
I was expecting pizza thrash, but that is not the case. MORE, plz. Disinfo Agent would agree. ;)

1) all the guitars are clean
2) vocals are clean/croony
3) it's the least metal thing I've done, and part 2 is even LESS metal

I like this. Really neat little fills on the bass and a lot of the guitar parts remind me of The Cure. (in a good way!) I also like how you don't prolong the tremelo picked riffs too much, so they have a cooler build-up effect leading to the next part.
My only criticism would be that maybe just keeping the higher vocal harmonies going for the whole thing would fit the song even better.

Thanks, Goat. The vocals are my weak point right now. Haven't sung in aeons, and in addition had surgery on my sinuses a few months ago. It's like re-learning to sing, and I definitely am not there yet.

AH/Old Dad - I do not have any equipment to record drums with, although i do now use an V-Drum kick pad, and I own a V-drum snare pad/two electronic cymbals... so while i don't have recording equipment, I could track drums with my electro stuff right into a computer, and would love to, email me @ouchdrummer at gmail dot com
