Looked like you hit pretty hard. But then again fuck it, it's all about the metal and all the aches and pains are, and always will be, fucking worth it!!!!!!!!!! Razormaze - first time seeing you guys, you really brought it! You guys kicked a lot of ass. Oh and Alex, I want my XL damn it! j/k. Raw Radar War, Superpower - I was not familiar with your music before last night, but now I will be. Everyone sounded really tight. Although the low end coming out of the monitors was WAY overbearing, it really crushed a lot of the definition. I def. want to check out some recorded tunes. Steel Assassin - what more can I say... Falzone sounded fucking great last night, the band was super tight and killed a lot of ass. WARGASM!!!!! FUCKING WARGASM!!!!!!! Bob, Barry, Rich - You guys, by your performance last night, have proven yet again that you have earned, and deserve the position of being the legendary thrash band that you are! I haven't seen a pit like that at a "local" show in years. You all absolutely SLAYED last night. For me it's been 16years since I have seen you and it was so worth the wait. You guys made us all feel like family and a family we were! All the old timers came out last night and really showed how strong this scene was back in the day. Dwyer it was good seeing you again, Dave Demonic it was really good meeting you, and talking to you bro. Whore, what can I say bro? It was killer meeting you and talking shit all night! I am really stoked you were down with the shit we were listening to after the show. We'll see... Oh and yea, yeti hunting at the Hock is so on! All in all it was one of the best shows I have been to in a long ass time. I will be feeling this for a long time! Fucking horns up! True Boston Metal at it's finest! |

______________________________________ [Sep 15,2008 4:23pm - the_reverend ""] wargasm: I was secretly bitching about how late they were going on. Midnight! Arg!!! Most of the time in between the different bands looked long on paper, but with all the people there were there to talk to, it went by wicked fast. Then wargasm hit the stage and the room was packed. People went crazy. I was just trying to stay out of video's way while getting shots. It sort of didn't even hit me that the show was happening until 10 minutes in when I heard Bob belt out "Knee deep in blood!". Once that graced the stage, imho, the stage was set. People raged. Even though it was basically known that they would be doing all Why Play Around?, people seemed to be surprised over and over about the songs that they were playing. ALL WPA people means ALL OF THE RECORD WHY PLAY AROUND?. 'nuff said. after so many years not together (then playing the show in 2004), this was definitely the better of their sets. More energy, More slamming, and More people getting booted. That's how you know it's a good show at the middle east. Don't count the number of people through the door coming in, but the number of people tossed out the door. like miss larissa. I hope that the show in RI re-lives the 80's and is a slam-pit heaven just for one night. |
